Ilias Walchshofer is an Austrian-Moroccan artist based in Paris, known for his work across painting, art direction, photography, and video. With roots in Linz and Casablanca, he studied Motion Design at the University of Applied Sciences in Berlin, launching his career in film by producing international commercials and music videos. Under his alias “Dr.Propolus,” a name he adopted during his teenage years, Ilias began sketching on prints and magazines — sketches that would later define the unique style he’s known for today. His creative journey evolved from fine-line art to mixed media, blending traditional hand drawn illustrations with photography, video, and painting.

The distinctive fine-line art is recognized for its intricate detail, narrative depth, and layered meaning. His work seamlessly bridges personal expression, art exhibitions and commercial art, establishing collaborations with global brands like Louis Vuitton, Birkenstock, Walt Disney, H&M, Dior, Cadillac, Chevrolet, and Mazda. The artistic sensitivity he brings to every project allows for a versatile approach, whether in solo work or collaborations with fellow creatives.

Within the art form, the creative services blend high-level expertise with flexibility, tailoring each project to its unique needs. From concept development to execution, working across various stages of the creative process — whether crafting original visual content alongside a photographer or director, creating custom fine line illustrations on clean backgrounds for impactful graphic art, or blending digitally / artificial intelligence-generated backgrounds with his hand-drawn illustrations.

A deep understanding of visual storytelling allows to develop and design visual languages, and to step in at any point in the creative process: from the early concept phase to the post-production stage, aligning with the existing vision or providing new, original ideas.
