MULTIDISCIPLINARY ART

Ilias Walchshofer is an Austrian-Moroccan artist based in Paris, known for his work across painting, photography, animation and film. After completing his design studies in Berlin, he began his career in film production, producing global commercials for international clients, collaborating with acclaimed directors and teams.

At the same time, he began publishing his first illustrations under the alias „Dr. Propolus“, a name he used to publish his drawings on prints and magazines. These early works would later define his craft and the unique style for which he is known today.

Within his practice, Ilias creates layered narratives that merge traditional techniques with contemporary visual storytelling. His distinctive style is recognized for its intricate detail, narrative depth, and layered meaning and has shaped campaigns in photo and film, editorials and collaborations with global brands working across media in still and motion, window installations, packaging design and textile design.

The artistic sensitivity he brings to his projects allow for a versatile approach, whether in exhibitions, in solo work or collaborations with fellow creatives. He approaches each project with flexibility, adapting to its specific needs at any stage of the creative process, from the first concept to the final execution.

His art pieces shape original visual content, as well as collaborations with photographers and directors. He always creates fully hand-drawn graphic art, or combines digital and emerging technologies with traditional craftsmanship to build distinctive visual worlds, consistently aligning with the artistic vision or proposing new, original ideas.
