Ilias Walchshofer is an Austrian Moroccan artist based in Paris, recognized for his mixed media practice that spans fine line illustrations, painting, photography, animation and film.

During his studies in Berlin, he began publishing his first illustrations in 2014 under the alias "Dr. Propolus“, a name he used to publish his drawings on prints and magazines. These early works would later define his craft and the unique visual style for which he is known today.

Within his practice, Ilias creates layered narratives that merge traditional techniques with contemporary visual storytelling. His distinctive style is recognized for its intricate detail and narrative depth, often balancing a poetic sensibility with a touch of wit, where reality and surrealism coexist.

His catalogue has been displayed in international exhibitions and shaped international campaigns, with a creative reach extending from film and window installations to packaging and textile design.
